I graduated from Webster University, Columbia (SC) Metro campus with a MA in Human Resources Management. There was one professor who was a "stickler" for correct grammar and other English components.
I have used that education to teach adult students career development skills. In turn, I was a "stickler" with written assignments from resumes to portfolios. Now, I run into prior students who have benefitted from the skills and knowledge they obtained in my classes.

I have found an unexpected appreciation for the "stickler" professors as well. Amazing how your opinion can change over time.

I started my career as an English teacher--glad to hear your appreciation for that kind of "stickler" behavior!
